I know every piece I show you all seems to be very different then the last but that is because I am still at the experimenting stage. I was told the other day is that’s what makes me a good artist because who wants to see the same thing done over and over. This statement made me feel more at ease with my inconsistencies. I am starting a small "collection" of bird paintings and this is the first but I already have plans for more to come soon. My plan is to next month have a enough to place up at local places here in Austin. The Art here is inspiring to the highest degree! I hope you enjoy.

I got a sudden urge to paint people again, Tiffany is the beginning. I didn't have a model so I googled "classy naked woman", what came up was interesting but I finally found a figure I liked and painted her. I did not want to get into detail so I tried to keep it whimsical and mysterious.  I hope that is how it turned out, I really like it!

Exciting new piece custom made for my creative friend Angie! I'm still trying new techniques so in this piece I incorporated newspaper to the back ground to give more depth. I was nervous it would turn out to much like a scrapbook but in the end I was very satisfied!

Another piece of fun! I made this for a friends baby nursery. I used wallpaper to create fun textures and shapes. I modeled it after her theme. It was a lot of work but the end result was beautiful. 

Baby William was born April 7, 2010 at 10IB 9oz, welcome to the world little man!

...Lost in the Season...

This painting is the largest I have done. It truly takes up an entire wall. As you can see the picture taken isn't the best, I will update a new one in the future. The texture is very emphasized on the edges giving it a lot of life.

I did this piece for a dear friend of my husbands and I. It still has my style but is more abstract then I have done in the past. I loved creating it and trying something different.

Its a learning process...

After a lot of thought and much encouragement from some of my close friends and my husband this blog has been created. The last two years have been so exciting for me as I am allowing myself to scratch an itch I have had for many years, the itch to paint. Although I knew at a younger age how much I enjoyed it and the talent to do so always came more naturally to me then others, I am just now opening up to new mediums and discovering techniques that I could have never imagined. Much of this discovery has been with some wonderful teachers I have had and hope to learn more from their amazing talents and abilities in the future.
This being said I am introducing you all to some of my paintings, something that makes me nervous. I can hardly call myself an artist because that title I feel should be left to those of Picasso or Mitisse but I just wish to share some of pieces that have given me joy and I have worked hard on. Many of them were inspired by others peoples works... inspiration can come from many different sources when art is involved.
